Legality is a the principle of law which calls for the formation of laws to be done a very concise, clear, and understandable manner. Legality is meant to provide for the construction of laws so as to be appropriate to be administered and employed in order to solve disputes. Furthermore, the principle of legality is also meant to formulate new laws in such a way to not alter or contradict previously instated laws. The principle of legality has its roots in legal formalism and be traced back to the philosophies of the rule of law. 

The issue of legality can also be applied in terms of criminal and administrative law. In respects to criminal law, legality can refer to certain issues or actions that are committed and the question to whether such action was legally done or not. This may have implications in terms to how the law itself is formulated and when it was created and ultimately enacted. 

In administrative law, the legality of how officials conduct themselves while in office, whether or not necessarily breaking enacted laws is sometimes also an important aspect. Many will often state that any moral deviations, even though not breaking the law, should be considered not to be legally allowed due to the position of the such officials. 

Therefore, the principle of legality will prove to have various applications and is central to the formation of laws. Essentially, it can be generalized in broad terms as to what can be considered as right or wrong within the realm of the law, but which may also encompass some moral considerations as well. 

In the context of the law, legal age can refer to various ordinances that require individuals to be of a certain age in order to engage in particular activity. Typically, legal age is most commonly associated with the minimum age to obtain a driver’s license and the legal drinking age. The latter is a topic that has been constantly debated for various reasons in past decades.

The legal drinking age is the minimum age at which an individual can consume or purchase alcoholic beverages. This is sometimes also extended to include the minimum age that one must be in order to consume alcohol, though they are both usually separated into two different statutes. 

In the United states, the legal age for drinking alcohol is 21, though in almost all parts of the world the legal drinking age is 18. In certain areas, such as India, may have higher legal age requirements, in certain regions being as high as 28. Furthermore, in many Islamic nations there is no legal age for different due to the fact that consuming alcohol is simply not permitted. 

Legal age can also refer to another debated issue, which is the age at which a person is legally allowed to have sex. The laws in regards to the legal age of consent can prove to be fairly complex. For instance, in the U.S., the state legislation is responsible for instituting a legal age of consent. Generally speaking, the ages can range anywhere from 15 to 18. 

Under law terminology, to take legal action refers to the process of bring a particular case to court trial. Therefore, legal action itself will vary depending on the nature of the legal issues at hand. Generally speaking, this will involve a process in which an accused person is brought to court to face judgment in a jury of his/her peers, who will ultimately determine whether or not such person is guilty or innocent. 

This also includes a situation where two parties enter litigation for the purpose of disputing and settling issues with the assistance of judge and possibly a jury. In the United States, legal action is classified into two general terms, public action and private action.

Legal issues that are considered to be public action is when the state conducts the proceedings against an accused person. This will involve the indictment of the person and bringing the accused to stand before the court and a jury. The basis or ultimate reasoning for legal action will differ depending on the situation at hand. However, even a traffic violation can be considered as a form of public action because the person is still required to appear before the court.

Legal action that falls under the realm of private action will usually occur between two parties. Such a situation arises when there are certain legal issues or disputes between to people or two parties, and thus, bring the dispute before the courts in order to settle the conflict. 

This legal action can include various situations, though it will usually involve one party suing another for the purpose of monetary compensation for damages incurred. 

In the United States, one particular topic that has been at the forefront of news and media is the issue of illegal steroids. This issue has been debated in various professional sports organizations, but has also been addressed by governmental authorities. Much of the dispute has involved the use of steroids by professional athletes and whether or not these substances are considered to be legal steroids or illegal steroids. 

Illegal steroids can prove to include various types of substances that are considered illegal due to the effects that they have on the body. Generally speaking, illegal steroids are usually those that fall under the category anabolic steroids. Anabolic steroids are chemicals that are meant to mimic and resemble naturally occurring chemicals in the body. These anabolic steroids are meant to create certain hormone imbalances for the purpose of medical treatment. Anabolic steroids were originally developed as legal steroids, for they do have medical applications that have proven to properly treat certain conditions or diseases. 

Therefore, the concept of illegal steroids can be said to be derived more from how these steroids are used and how they are obtained. Illegal steroids are used for the purpose of providing for some sort of advantage, particular in sports such as weightlifting and body building. However, in recent years many athletes in team sports, particularly baseball, have been found guilty of using illegal steroids. Aside from providing for an unfair advantage, the abuse of these types of illegal steroids also has severe health effects.

Legal separation refers to the process by which a married couple can declare that they are no longer living together as a married couple and want such separation to be recognized by law. The main issue with legal separation is that is constantly confused with a divorce. 

Legal separation and a divorce, though they may seem similar because of the inherent separation of the couple, are not one in the same. The key difference is that legal separation, though certain arrangements are made similar to a divorce, the couple will legally still remain married. A divorce is the dissolution of the marriage under decree of law. 

Legal separation is often times referred to as a trial separation because the couple will still remain married even though are separated. It is common for a legal separation to ultimately end in a divorce and is usually the first step during the divorce process. However, a legal separation does not necessarily mean that a divorce is to follow. 

There are other reasons as to why a married couple may seek a legal separation, but not necessarily a divorce. A common example may be the case where a couple decides to separate and no longer live together as a couple, though certain benefits, particular health benefits, may suffer as a result of a divorce. A legal separation will allow for the married couple to simply no longer live together, but no lose out on such benefits. 

A legal separation, though not necessary, is usually advice given to couples no longer wanting to remain married as a way to have legal protection for both parties. 

Legalization is a term used in the law applications to refer to the actual removal of a restriction or prohibition upon an action or item that is not currently legal under the extent of statutes or regulations. 

To legalize something in particular, such as behavior, action, or item simply means that the issue in question is simply being lifted from being prohibited or restricted. Legalization may often be confused with the legal term of decriminalization, which actually removes the criminal charges from a particular action, though not necessarily the laws or statutes associated with that action or item. 

Legalization is typically associated with what are often referred to as victimless crimes. Victimless crimes are defined as actual violations of laws though the evidence does not indicate that any person was actually harmed in the process of violating such law.

Therefore, this can include laws involving public order, controlled substances, prostitution, gambling, and pornography. In the United States, the concept of legalization is most commonly associated with the legalization of certain drugs or controlled substances, most notably marijuana. 

Legalization, particularly in the case of illicit drugs, is often is very debated issue in both politics and social applications. To legalize certain drugs could prove to have certain benefits, though it will also provide for certain negative aspects as well. Therefore, the debate about the legalization of drugs will prove to be a difficult issue to prove, in regards to both sides.
